Chord Shawline Turntable - RCA
- Shawline Analogue RCA cables use the same conductor geometry as the award winning Sarum Tuned ARAY, giving them a musical transparency and coherence, transforming the performance of DACs, CD players and Streamers.
The first Tuned ARAY cables were developed using our then flagship Sarum cable range. The Shawline analogue cables use the same Tuned ARAY conductor geometry to produce a ground breaking cable. All Tuned ARAY cables have an extraordinary degree of musical transparency and the Shawline Analogue transforms the performance of the new breed of DACs, CD players and Streamers that deliver so much performance at very affordable prices.
The challenge with producing the Shawline Analogue is that all Tuned ARAY cables require a high degree of precision that can only be achieved with painstaking hand assembly. The Shawline is built from PTFE insulated silver-plated conductors and use a composite shielding material that works over a wide bandwidth and also reduces mechanical noise. The cable is assembled within a flexible plastic tube chosen to further reduce mechanical noise and a protective outer braid is fitted.
RCA plugs are Chord VEE3 and are direct silver-plated to improve signal transfer. We can also terminate the Shawline Analogue with Din plugs and by adding extra conductors we can produce an outstandingly good Shawline XLR cable. The standard length is 1 metre and custom lengths are available to order.
When we first started producing the Sarum and Signature Tuned ARAY cables we’d get e-mails from customers telling us how the cables had transformed their systems. What they were so excited about was how the cables had bought to life revealed new layers of musical detail from music they had been listening to for years. Change the level of equipment and we’re getting exactly the same e-mails from customers who have just put a set of Shawlines into their system. So if you bought your system because you love music you need to listen to how Chord Shawline Tuned ARAY cables carry music with a degree of coherence that’s not achievable with conventional cable designs and because those improvements are so musical they’re easier to hear than to describe.
