Ricable Invictus Reference AES/EBU - XLR
Invictus Series
After more than a year of research, exploration and effort to improve the conductor, insulation, shielding and connectors, looking for a way to make an absolute product, the Invictus series was born, representing the maximum expression of our production and, to date, the best we can achieve in terms of interconnections for Hi-End equipment.
Ricable Invictus XLR Reference
A pair of balanced analog XLR stereo interconnect cables of absolute prestige.
Every day, music gives us the freedom to immerse ourselves in our memories, travel between space and time, or dream of a different future. We care about pure sound because such sound is faithful to the original, and listening to it is the most effective way to immerse ourselves in a dimension to which only the senses can transport us.
Balanced Reference Signal
The Invictus XLR was the first cable developed in Ricable's new design course, launched in 2018, and for that reason it was the most difficult cable to improve further, because it integrated so many of the top-of-the-range manufacturing elements for which the Ricable brand is renowned. The aim of transforming it into a Reference model was not to completely change it, but to refine it by improving every aspect that has made it such a popular product over the last six years. Acoustically, it is a true reference product in terms of sonic transparency, neutrality of frequency bands, tonal balance and precise soundstage.
Mainly three improvements were made compared to the previous design course. First, the conductor was increased in size to better transmit the acoustic signal. Then a double dielectric was inserted with two newly developed R-TEC (Ricable Technology Construction) polymers, which further reduce the electrical capacitance. Finally, the "defense" of the conductor was strengthenedby further improving the shielding.
What has been perfectly improved includes...
Increased conductor by 13% compared to the previous model: The conductor with a cross-section of 0.64 mm2 compared to the previous 0.57 mm2, is made as always from 7N copper (purity 99.99999%) in Ricable technology - MARC© (Multicore Annealed Ricable Conductor), with 0.08 mm strands with a smoother and more compact surface, which provide 70% better sound transmission than standard OFC copper
Increased shielding by 10% to completely reduce external interference and ensure uninterrupted transmission of the acoustic signal.
The newly developed R-TEC (Ricable Technology Construction) dual dielectric enables a 20% reduction in electrical capacitance compared to its predecessor and virtually eliminates noise and interference.
Listen now, but hold your judgment: ith the new XLR Reference, the burn-in process becomes very crucial. In fact, this dielectric reaches its maximum efficiency after at least 100 hours of polarization, which occurs with the flow of a low-voltage electrical signal (audio signal).
What has been preserved...
Plugs made of OFC COPPER are +40% better compared to brass: The patented XLR plugs used are characterized by a much higher quality of workmanship and are made entirely of OFC copper in RCCP technology (Ricable Copper Connector Project) with a directional pole and a grounding ring crimping system. Thanks to these plugs, the electrical parameters are improved by over 40% compared to standard brass plugs. 24-karat gold plated made using a special Gold / Copper electrolysis technique.
RNR (Ricable Noise Reduction) technology: Germanium (Ge) semiconductor is included in all conductors to reduce background noise and rustling generated by the audio signal. RNR makes the sound more detailed and bright, while maintaining a natural and balanced tone.
Balanced geometry with triple shielding - Copper / Aluminum / Magnesium for EMI / RFI interference. The insulation materials used are the peak of -TEC (Ricable Technology Construction) technology , with special polyethylenes and innovative polymers, to reduce electrical capacitance and resistance and provide better audio signal support.
